Three Months

So today Cade is three months old. What a short three months it has been!?! He's so little, but he has grown so much. Everyday that passes we see new changes in him. It is so bittersweet. We are so excited to seem him progress, but sad for how quick it is going. It seemed like the last three months of my pregnancy took so long to pass, yet the last three months have passed so quickly. He has of course doubled his size, he is laughing and smiling of course, and now when he is laying down he kicks like crazy. He is just so excited he can't contain himself. I took the picture below in the backseat of our truck with my phone. I couldn't stop laughing at him going to town on his blanket. We don't feel any teeth yet, but he sure shows signs they are on the way! He's usually chewing on his fists, both if he can.

Say Hi to the Greats for us

We know Grandpa is coming home soon,
but we wanted to make sure he knows we miss him!
Be careful coming home!
Next time Grandpa goes I'm sure Cade will be saying,
"Bring me back a present!
Give Great Grandma & Great Grandpa
A BIG HUG FOR ME!"

First Virus

What a milestone to achieve. Little Cade has been a little sick this week. Tuesday evening we could tell something wasn't quite right when he slept through a few feedings. If you know our boy, you know he doesn't miss a chance to eat. He also cried or squealed whenever he got moved. He had a fever so he got dosed with Tylenol every four hours, he was just pathetic all night long. The next morning the doctor said it may just be a virus, give him Tylenol, a tepid bath, Pedialyte, and to call if it worsened. By noon that day his fever had broke and he was feeling better, man I missed that smile. I think he may still a little under the weather, he's still not eating as much, but he's a hundred times better. I feel very fortunate as sick as he was, he was still a good baby.
Here are a few pictures we took before earlier in the week and last week.

Two Month Check Up, Two Shots

Oh my goodness, who would have thought looking into a two month old's eyes could make one feel so horrible. That's exactly how I felt as I was holding my boy's legs as tight as I could while the nurse gave him two vaccines. He seemed to hesitate then let everyone know how he felt. BUT being Cade, it didn't last long. By the time we made it to the truck he had stopped, though not full of smiles.
On to more interesting, not so sad, details...
Cade is now 23 1/2 inches and weighs 14 pounds!

After the doctor's visit, see my band-aids.
