Beware: Photos Below will Make You Laugh (or Cringe)

We went today for the guys to get fitted for tuxes (John's getting married). Aunt Tracy was a little worried Cade wouldn't wear a tux, we assured he had no cares for clothes...Well except if it has Cars on it, then he picks it over anything else. Getting fitted for the tux was a whole other story. He ran the store while the other guys got fitted, but when it came time for him, he was having none of it. I hope the tailor got him, cause I don't think Cade would give him another chance. Sarah found a child size tux jacket, with tails. We had to try it on him. We all couldn't stop laughing at him, of course he didn't care he had it on...it certainly didn't interfere with his jumping or getting any less attention. He loved it! I said I would just have to give my apologies to the bride and groom, someone was going to steal the show.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our family hopes your family had an awesome Thanksgiving, I know we did. We enjoyed our day at Aunt Mary & Uncle Bill's as usual. I could never begin to imagine the work and preparation that goes into hosting all of us, but I am more than grateful that she does. Cade played with the cousins as we all tried to catch up and chit chat. The food of course was delicious. I didn't take many photos but here's one of Cade playing under the table.

Silly Boy

Our family is anxiously waiting for Thanksgiving. It is my most favorite holiday. It's like Christmas, but without the stress of presents. AND we get to see all of mother's side of the family.
So our house is b.u.s.y. Cade never stops moving n.e.v.e.r. Today I attempted to snap a few photos. Some are blurry, but I think you get the point...

Friday

So, I know, I'm a slacker. I said I was going to post everyday this week and obviously I didn't. I'm posting this real quick, no photos, sorry. Last night we got to go out with the whole family for my birthday. It's nice to get together and visit with everyone an of course its always nice to eat good food. But in my life and family you don't just get a birthDAY, it's usually a week. Wednesday being my birthday Joe and Cade took me out, this evening we went out with Michael, Hillary & London.
Wonderful birthday memories I'll be glad to hang on to.

Target Aquired

Goal for today was to get this come shoes. Last week Grandma and I went to our usual shoe store to get this toddler some shoes. Since our last purchase, maybe less than two months ago, he went from a size 6w to 8w. The last few weeks I've noticed how hard it has been to get on his shoes. Our usual shoe store doesn't carry his shoe any more. So today we drove to Ironton, let him play with some Thomas the Tank Engine galoshes and tricked him to putting some New Balance. We came home with 8 1/2w.
They're great for jumping:

A Long Hiatus

I unfortunately have been very busy with work and very tired on top of that.
I know it isn't much of an excuse,
but to make up for it I'll try to post something everyday this week.

My "last" blog was Halloween. It was real success, mostly. I was very undecided this year on a Halloween costume. Great Grandpa was suppose to be here on trick or treat night, so I didn't want to get too caught up in Halloween. BUT I didn't want to get some generic looking costume from Wal*Mart or Target. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down their costumes, but try looking at their toddler costumes sometimes- blah. I feel like dressing up is for him, to be something he wants to be. Sure it would be great to dress him up as Yoda, an ewok, a scarecrow, the tin man or anything Daddy and I love. I wanted it to be for him though. That Wednesday, the day before trick or treat, we still hadn't come to a decision. Beth to the rescue! She still had Blake's costume from a few years ago and it was perfect. It was a little small, but perfect. We went to London's to trick or treat, but all he really did was run up and down the street. The only candy he accumulated was the pixie stick he stole from the Gore's and broke open.

Since Great Grandpa had been a little under the weather we decided to visit him in Columbus. We had such a great time being with everyone. It almost felt like Christmas.
Right before Halloween I got to have an ultra sound. As of now, November 8, I am 12 weeks along. When this week is through I'll be through my first trimester. Yippee!! Since the ultra sound I've already seen the doctor again. Everything is going well. At my last visit I actually had to have another ultra sound. The doctor was having a little trouble pinpointing the heart beat with the doppler. It wasn't anything to worry about, he just couldn't hold the beats for long enough to count. He pinned the baby down, laughed about how active it was and showed me the heartbeat on the screen. I've scanned the photo and attempted to outline the focal points. The yellow is the baby's head, the red are the arms and green is the body. The cord is also visible, but working with a laptop mouse isn't easy to outline an image that's only sorta kinda there.

Quick Pic

Don't let this photo fool you. He was not happy. Not. Happy. He didn't get his nap and he made sure everyone knew it. Thankfully he's healthy and perfect.
