Short Trip to London

Yesterday we hopped in the church van with the golf guys and headed to Beckley. Although it was a monsoon outside the guys set off to win a trophy (ha ha). While they found out how water proof their gear was we visited Michael, Hillary & Baby London in the hospital. Below are a few pictures of Cade and London Gore. (And no they didn't win a trophy, they had to quit after 13 holes. Personally I don't see how they could've gotten any wetter- why quit?)

A Day With Cade-Thursday, September 17 (long post)

A day with Cade. Thursdays are my day off, which are usually spent running around to the grocery store, visiting people, you know just about anything. This past Thursday the plan was to take Joe lunch (fast food from the mall), visit Grandma at church (she was preparing for spaghetti dinner), dinner at home with Daddy, and then the usual Thursday-Grandpa Night. Keep in mind, the pictures start at first nap. Cade was up at 3:00 and then again before 6:00. He had already had a bottle and played in his exersaucer, but with Daddy being home it can be hectic (especially since it was trash day.)

Four Months & Counting

Though it seems nothing truly new has occurred, I guess there are new ones everyday. Every meal time there is a new face.
Peach face=not so good
Pear face=sour
Sweet potato face= LOVE!He makes more sounds everyday. His greatest communication skill is grunting. He has done this for quite some time, but now he uses it to tell us he's hungry, he's happy, or when he doesn't want to sleep. BUT when he doesn't grunt himself awake, he'll hum himself to sleep. I can't help but laugh at very noise he makes.

Here he is chewing on his blue triangle, he soon passed that up and went on to his fist, his favorite.

Now You See It, Now You Don't

Cade is now loving his cereal. Instead of complaining that it isn't the bottle, he is now complaining it isn't fast enough. Last night as I fed him, he couldn't get enough. I had decided to make a bigger batch than I had been...Good thing.
I've been putting a tad of pear juice in it, he loved it even more. I wasn't sure I could believe what I was seeing as I was shoveling spoonfuls of cereal. He didn't whine, he didn't spit any out, and none of it came back. BUT as soon as the bowl was finished and he made it to my lap he was asleep. Soon we will be on to real food, he'll be so excited. (The picture to the left was taken the previous night. There is no way he would have let me grab for the phone last night.)
