A Little Here, A Little There

Small developments with Cade have occurred over the last week or so. They slowly pop up and have been hard to catch on to...
#1 We found two new teeth this week. One all the way through and one on its way. I'm guessing after one already has eight, getting teeth are old hat.
#2 He LOVES to dance. We knew this, but he dances more and more everyday.
A commercial with music...
Stop! Dance!
Theme song to any show...
Stop! Dance!
Ending Credits...
Stop! Dance!
Start the music on his microphone stand. Dance.
Push his musical chair. Dance.
Musical blender. Dance.
(the last three are all at once)
We were watching a movie with quite a bit of musical numbers, even Greased Lightning,
he had stop everything to wave his arms and do a little jig.

#3 He sings. This is very new. If we have music in the car, sing a song he knows, or maybe even one of his toys, he'll start humming a little.
#4 He started finally riding his riding toys. He's been a little hesitant till now when we put him on, but once he did it himself he was all about it.

Now if we can just get him to sit forward.

More Water Fun

As usual we spent Tuesday evening at Nan Nan Mary's. Dinner was great and storms were in the distance. We chose to take our chances and have a little water fun before the lightning started. As you can see, it is always a good time... I always wish I had an extra set of clothes with me so I could play in the sprinklers too. It was all over once the ice cream truck came and the sun came out to make it just a tad too hot (for those of us not in the water).

Here is playing with a wind chime.
He LOVES it! They put it there just for him, it has a long string for him to yank.

Good Times

My last post consisted of a photo of Cade playing with a box. Of course that brings back WONDERFUL memories of playing in a box myself a million years ago. I found the photos a few weeks ago while going through stuff for the rummage sales. I finally got them scanned this morning. I love them!!!!

Today has been a lazy day. Joe fixed some awesome burgers on the grill while I fixed macaroni & cheese and peanut butter cookies, Cade sat and played. He got a bucket for Easter he loves to put things in it and carry it. His most favorite thing to do with it though...put it on his head. He looks around with it on, talks with it on and giggles with it on, his smiles are incredible.
And sometimes I believe...
He is the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Man I love him.

Quick Pic

Who says you need toys, especially when a box is around...

Everything is going well here. Cade is getting harder to keep up with, as expected. But we're having the time of our lives.

Lack of Celebration

We had a busy weekend, maybe that's why I've waited so long to post. Friday evening we cooked out at Nanny Mary's & Uncle Mike's. They had the sprinkler and tub set up to play outside. It may have been a tad cold, especially if you look at Mykenzie's face in the picture.

Saturday was another rummage sale day. We had a little success, but I still brought in as many boxes as I took out...So we'll be having another. Nobody seems to be shopping for what I'm selling. Sunday, the fourth, was BUSY. Of course we headed to church and our usual stop at the Sullivan's for lunch.

After lunch we headed to our usual fourth location, Matt's (Joe's best friend). He had lots to eat, lots of friends and lots of fireworks. Most everyone couldn't believe that this was the same baby as last year. Time goes too quickly. After a few hours everyone headed outside to enjoy the fireworks display. Cade and I stayed inside. It was too late and it had been a big day, Cade did not enjoy the fireworks. Halfway through he was asleep and I just enjoyed listening to everyone cheering for the "boys." Four grown men running around having a blast playing with fire. Good thing its only once a year.

Wish me luck today, this afternoon I'm taking a competency test for the board of education. Although I'm working part time, we need more. We have truly been blessed with help from our family and friends. Help I know we'll never be able to repay whether it be emotional or monetary.
Thank you.
