1st Thanksgiving

What a blessed year! We have so much to be thankful for...
A roof over our head, food on our table, a healthy-happy baby boy, the Sullivan family, the Angle family, the Black family, the Gabriels, the Nottinghams, our whole family, our own health, the love we share, our safety, our country, our freedom, our religion- our God, our many friends, our past experiences and our future experiences, baby yawns, baby sighs, baby giggles, spouse smiles, and so much more.

Oh how I love Thanksgiving! I love visiting with my whole family. I know I'm 31 years old, but I still feel like a little one around all of them. Although we finally have a 4th generation, I'm still the third one there. I love to hear the Jackson "cackle" - it will never get old, I can still hear my grandmother in the kitchen with them. I'm sure it is very taxing and tiring for Aunt Mary, Uncle Bill and the rest...I hope they know how much I truly enjoy and cherish it.

Our goal for the morning: make sure Cade rested- he was in for a BIG day. What a joy, we got to see everyone- even Kristi was there. The kids came running, and I think if the aunties could have they would have. Usually Cade gets overwhelmed easily, but today he didn't. I think he enjoyed himself and all the attention. Cade and I stayed for a long time, wishing it could be longer, but it was really getting past sleeping time. I didn't take near the pictures I expected to, but I still limited the ones below.

Over the Sickness

My sincerest apologies for such a long absence. Cade has been a little under the weather and is finally getting over it. He had been a little congested for going on two weeks, it came and went. Finally at the two week mark, I took him to the doctor. We saw the associate, but she loved him. He went right to her. She suggested a decongestant and wrote an antibiotic, just in case it didn't get better after the weekend. It did hang around for an extra day, but we avoided the antibiotic.
Right now we are working on crawling, as much tummy time as possible! He just hasn't got the hang of it yet. He just lays on his elbows and knees waiting for something to happen, or he falls on his belly and kicks and kicks and kicks.
I'm sure the next entry won't be as long, as Thanksgiving is on its way! Here are a few pics to last till the next time.

That first bite is a doozy.

But I love it after that.

Six Month Comparison

Today Cade decided to nap on Daddy like he use to... So I snapped a picture:

This picture is from May 10, six months earlier.
