It was finally time for new photos to be done. This time around was not quite as easy as ALL of the last ones were. Cade was too busy either running around the room (away from the background) or being very serious with whatever prop we gave him. By the time we did the first few in the usual white onesie, I was done and didn't care if we took any more. I did mention some outside photos and since I had to redress him anyway we went to the backyard for a few. Those turned out nice, but he was still very serious in all of those as well. My silly little guy was just refusing to be silly.
In more new events we have made one more transition out of baby-hood. It has been three days and two night with no pacifier. The last few times I began this process I felt like he instantly knew what had crossed my mind and was more attached to his pacifier than ever. Cade mostly 'loses' his pacifier in the middle of the night and I usually make sure he doesn't see it when he wakes up...After a day of running errands and not needing it I decided it was time to go to bed sans the sucker. It worked! He didn't have any problems. I felt like that was too easy and our real test would be during church on Sunday. Unfortunately church service falls right in nap time. Sometimes he's fussy and sometimes he's not. He played until I got back to him after playing the piano, then climbed in my lap and went to sleep. What was this?!? How easy!?! This little man has got me spoiled.
And though I am a little sad not to see those sweet little eyes staring back at me with that little baby pacifier in his mouth, I know its for the best. Next thing he'll be driving a car off to college... I'm already not ready.
