Growing Up

I usually mention not much has happened in during the last week. And yet again I could say the same thing. Could. I noticed something today though...
Cade likes to play with his trucks. He likes to play with them everywhere. He especially likes to play with them on the couch. Usually he just rolls the back and forth, making noises as they go. Sometimes he gets a little involved and the trucks end up at the back of the couch. He grunts and climbs, but mostly he can't reach them. Therefore he gets you to get it or whines a little until someone retrieves them for him. Today I saw him get on his tip toes and get them himself. Sure it was his tip toes, but that's what it was just last week when he couldn't reach them. Though I attempted to weigh him last night (you try it with a 14 month old), it still stated he only weighed 24 or 25 pounds. So though I know he may weigh 25 pounds, I believe it to be a tad more. More importantly I know he is growing. Growing out of his clothes. Growing to now being able to reach the back of the couch. This week Kristi and I decided to have a rummage sale. Earlier in the week I went through ALL of Cade's smaller clothes. Only keeping half a box from at least five boxes worth. I ended up keeping more of his newborn clothes than of his bigger ones. Who can resist those teeny tiny cutsie baby garments? I tried not to linger as I was sorting today to price. I did hesitate a little as I went threw the newborn onesies into the bin. Just the white ones. Those cute little long sleeve ones with the mittens on the end (to keep baby from scratching his face).

I digress...

Cross your fingers. Our rummage sale is tomorrow!

  1. Hi everyone, Good luck with the rummage sale! Jim will take Angel to the park and I will be cleaning and doing laundry. My neighbor Mike is going to help Jim put a flower bed around one of our trees. It will be a memorial for Mom Four weeks ago today she passed. We plan to go to a fish fry for the fire department later. I like the bubble pictures. All kids like bubbles! Take Care! Love Aunt Ann and Uncle JIm.
